The Remainhidden Proxy

Log Cabin, friendship quilt machine stitched

Every year in Patchwork classes, students make between the various "friendship quilts." For this course, our teacher, Neus, we proposed that we make a block each, in which we could use fabrics, technical and reason to our liking. There were only two conditions:
- fabric bottom of the block had to be white.
- All the blocks had to have the same extent.

I decided to do this:

The central square is made up of 16 squares, made with the technique Log Cabin, are grouped in fours with:

The stars are obtained with triángulos.Como can see the fabrics used to make them, are arranged symmetrically, as if reflected in a mirror. It was not easy to make the symmetries, I have not really come to get as I wanted. But the effect of the whole block like me.

The pattern of this model, I had used in my quilt of initiation, change the background and how to place the fabric triangles:

remain different, but I also like:

This is easy.

The Log Cabin harder than I have done is in the quilt that we presented last year in Sitges "3010 anaquiños"

What have you seen? Natural is much nicer.
many hours working on it, and had a blast. Did not give us any prizes.
now I tell you now because, as you know, at that time did not blog.
This year I spent a lot of envy seeing some reports that we have put in the net. Thanks to all!
visit to Sitges, marked a before and after, in my view the patchwork effects and techniques I discovered that I never imagined. Nor do I get my camera's memory, or the notebook, nor my own memory, to retain all the art was concentrated in Sitges.

also want to tell you that although I am very happy because this year my teacher Diestre Neus, gave prize, go to his blog and you will see that marvel of Quilt:
"HOUSES MI VIDA "
The photos do not do justice, has impressive detail, I think it was a well deserved award.
From here I congratulate all those who have won awards, as well as those without. The merit of finishing a quilt, with the level I've seen on blogs, has its own reward, "the illusion of participation."
